Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer

Role Overview

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of refrigeration and air conditioning systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and industry standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install refrigeration and air conditioning systems in locations such as supermarkets, hospitals, food processing plants, and research establishments
  • Diagnose and repair faults in refrigeration and air conditioning systems
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers and clients
  • Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulations
  • Maintain effective working relationships with fellow workers and clients
  • Oversee work activities and ensure projects are completed on time

What we’re looking for:

  • City & Guilds in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent
  • F-Gas certification (Category 1) in compliance with the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulations
  • Relevant technical certificates in refrigeration and air conditioning
  • Hydro Carbon Qualification
  • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of UK legislation and industry standards related to refrigeration and air conditioning
  • Full UK driving license

Building Services Engineering Design Apprentice

Role Overview

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Building Services Engineering Design Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This exciting apprenticeship will give you hands-on experience in building services engineering while you work towards your professional qualification. As an apprentice, you will assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical and electrical systems, learning from experienced engineers in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and drafting of building services systems, including HVAC, lighting, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Support senior engineers with the preparation of technical specifications, reports, and calculations.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop solutions for building systems that meet client needs and adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Attend training and development sessions to expand knowledge and skills in building services engineering.
  • Contribute to the creation and review of CAD drawings and other design documentation.
  • Support the team with project coordination and site visits when necessary.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • 112 UCAS points (minimum 2x A2 Levels in Maths/Physics/Biology/Chemistry) or International Baccalaureate Level 4, BTEC, NVQ equivalent)
  • Passion for engineering and a desire to build a career in building services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with others.
