Overview
We are dedicated to promoting equal opportunities within our workforce, ensuring that our practices remain current and effective. Our aim is to address workforce inequality and reduce the disability employment gap, fostering a more inclusive environment where all employees can thrive and contribute equally.
We are proud of our commitment to Level 1 of the Disability Confident Scheme, where inclusivity is at the forefront of our recruitment process. Our initiatives include offering interviews to candidates who declare a disability, providing reasonable adjustments for employees, and supporting existing staff with health issues to remain in the workforce. We also offer work trials and job shadowing opportunities to ease the transition for those anxious about returning to work. Furthermore, we collaborate with Jobcentre Plus to facilitate mock interviews, enhancing candidates’ confidence in a professional setting. We are honoured to be listed as a registered employer on the Disability Confident list.
At KHS, we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and included.
We’ve recently completed updated EDI training to stay aligned with current legislation and best practices. Alongside this, we’ve developed a new company policy to help us improve inclusive hiring and cultural recognition across the business.
To ensure all voices are heard, we have recently launched an anonymous staff survey to identify trends and make sure every group feels represented and valued.
Creating an inclusive environment is an ongoing journey, and we’re dedicated to learning and improving every step of the way.
